Youth Summer Series by WINS is a training program
designed to help individuals gain the necessary skills
and knowledge to be successful in the retail
industry. This program offers a holistic approach that
not only focuses on career preparation, but the
importance of developing self-sufficiency and other
life-management skills.
What is the Retail Ready Youth Summer Series?
WINS’ Youth Summer Series is designed to equip youth (ages 16-19) with the essential skills needed to secure and maintain employment. While the program focuses on the retail industry, participants will also develop valuable, transferable skills applicable to any workplace. From customer service and inventory management to teamwork and professionalism, this program prepares you for success in retail and beyond!
What am I going to get from this training?
Hands-on Retail Training Experience
Participants who engage with the Youth Summer Series by WINS will receive hands-on training in a WINS Thrift Store. Hands-on training will enhance the overall learning experience of participants
and increase employability skills.
Personal and Professional Growth
Retail Ready not only imparts technical retail skills but also helps participants develop essential
values, attitudes, and competencies that are crucial for both personal and professional success.
Improved Communication and
Teamwork Skills
Participants will learn how to properly communicate in a workplace setting with co-workers and supervisors. Participants will also
learn valuable teamwork skills to enhance sustainability within future workplaces.
