Make spirits bright.
Warm up the night.
The holidays are the hardest time of the year.
Not the most joyful – the hardest. At least, that’s true for many low-income families in Calgary that are struggling just to get by day to day.
Nobody feels that more strongly than moms trying to hold it all together.
“I always lose a lot of sleep leading up to the holidays. The kids all need winter clothes that fit them, and they expect gifts and a holiday meal. I just don’t know where that’s all going to come from. I work two minimum wage jobs and can barely afford my rent.” --WINS Client
Your gift will help a tired mom to make spirits bright for her family this holiday season.
Over the next three months at WINS, our plan is to provide:
-
$360,000 in free winter clothing and other household essentials
-
270 culturally appropriate emergency food hampers
-
1600 new holiday gifts for children and youth (2-17), hand selected by mom
By investing in moms and families over the holidays, you’re not just relieving pressure for today, but you’re setting them up for a successful year ahead.
You can partner today with a mom who is exhausted, frazzled, at her wits’ end, and give her just what she needs to pull off a miracle holiday season that brings joy to her family.
At the end of this holiday season, you’ll be able to look back with a smile, and know what a blessing you were to a mom and her family over this holiday season.
Here are some specific ways your gift can help:
