
Retail Ready by WINS enables individuals to gain access to a holistic training program which fosters a positive and accepting environment to all those participating. Not only will individuals gain access to skills and knowledge tailored to the retail industry, they will also gain the confidence to get back out into the professional job market.

Program Information

The six-week program offers a mix of classroom and in-store training at WINS thrift stores to give participants hands-on experience.

Monday – Friday 9:00 am - 3:45 pm
-
4 weeks of instruction at either of the two locations: Dover and Beltline
-
2 weeks of work experience in a WINS Thrift Store
INTAKE PROCESS:

Complete and Submit Retail Ready Application Form

You will be contacted by phone and email (check your junk or spam folder) in order of application received 2 –3 weeks prior to intake start date.

Participant Eligibility
Review the following to see if you are eligible to apply:

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
-
Must be at least 16 years of age
-
Demonstrated difficulty in obtaining gainful employment

Able to effectively communicate in English (read, write, and speak) Canadian benchmark level 5-6

Able to participate for the entire 6 weeks

Able to provide satisfactory results of a Vulnerable Sector Search check through Calgary Police Service
