How we use your donations
Through the House to Home Program, WINS distributes donated items for free to low-income families. Your financial donation covers the cost of sorting, transporting, and distributing donated coats and other items, as well as one-on-one supports and other resources we offer to anyone who requests our help.
At WINS, $0.88 of every dollar we receive goes directly to our community programs.
About WINS
The Women in Need Society (WINS) has been supporting women and families in crisis right here in Calgary since 1992.
By partnering with the community, WINS provides basic needs, employment training, and skill building to help people move through poverty into independence.
In 2024, WINS supported 27,313 low-income individuals, including:

$1,000,300 in free goods distributed to low-income families

12,849 one-on-one appointments

158 people who received employment training
