Fight Like a Girl: A Heartfelt Reflection from WINS at the Calgary Black Film Festival
Last Friday, the WINS (Women in Need Society) team had the honor of attending the opening day of the Calgary Black Film Festival's fifth year, featuring the screening of Fight Like a Girl. We extend special thanks to our partner, Parker PR, for the kind invitation.
Fight Like a Girl is not just a movie; it’s an emotional, powerful, heartfelt narrative that celebrates resilience, courage, and the unbreakable spirit of women fighting for their place in the world. The film reminded us why empowering women matters: when women come together, share their stories, and lift each other up, incredible things happen.
As an organization rooted in supporting women and their families, WINS was especially moved by the film’s message: that the fight for equality, opportunity, and dignity is far from over.
